Angklung For The World

Hello everybody! How are you doing? I hope you are in the great condition. Ahem. Guys, I’m shaking of excitement right now while typing this!  Can you guess why? If your answer is because i’m the part of the world record “Angklung harmony for the world” then you deserve a virtual high five from me! Yes! I still can’t believe that I was the part of that amazing-legendary-touching event! If you think that i’m overacting. I agree with you. Totally a hundred percent agree with you. *Just so you know that i’m rolling my eyes at this very moment” Really. Please just read my story so maybe you will understand how i could be like this.

April 23rd 2015, me and my friends wait in line for about 2 hours to get a t-shirt, snacks and of course an angklung, the key of this great event. I got an Angklung named Bali or F tone. We just sitting while waiting for everything necessary to be ready. When everything’s ready. We practiced by playing Halo-halo Bandung, Manuk Dadali, Satu Nusa Satu Bangsa and We Are the World. Because you know Practice makes perfect *wink*. After that, the crew told us to take a break. Saung Angklung Udjo performing while we had our break. Me and my friends enjoy the break under umbrellas, because the sun are too hot for us. Like please sun show us some mercy.

Siliwangis gate
We gather for a good reason i swear, in case you’re wondering when you saw us from above. When the break is over. The crew of Angklung Harmony for the World (or Burma) told us to make a line so they can count each of us the participant. After they finished counting, we play WE Are the World to break World Record and Muri. That was the most beautiful moment of my life. Like when you hear all the “kring” sound from 20.000 angklungs. Let’s take a moment of silence. I won’t trade it for anything in this world. After all wrapped up, Muri gave us some kind of certificate for breaking the record of the most Angklung player in a place together. The goals of this event. But we have to wait for breaking world record. Because the crew of Guinness World Book of Record have to make sure that every aspect was “checked” from the specification list.

"Never Say You Can't"

Hello, come back again with me. Now i want to tell you about "never say you can't" by Bruno Mars."Never Say You Can't" is a tribute song by pop singer Bruno Mars, released in 1999 from the album "Point of Interest"The song is dedicated in memory of his father Glen Hernandez, who died of prostate cancer in 1998.  FYI I know this song from my sister. So, this is the lyric.

Oh [4x]

When I was just a little boy
Barely strong enough to stand
I could always count on him
Oh

He thought me everything I know
And 'till this day it shows
He was more than just a friend (Ah ah ah)

There were so many times I would doubt myself
But his words were always there to help

How would it be?
Where I am?
If my father didn't tell me
To never say I can't

He'd carry me
And never let me fall
Oh and the only thing he asked
Right before he passed
Was to never say you can't

Oh
Never say you can't
Oh oh oh Oh

So when last rain begins to fall
And you're out there on your own
And you can't see a thing
No no no

Just find a voice that understands
For me it was my old man
Taught me to say the words I can
Oh

There were so many times I would doubt myself
But his words were always there to help

How would it be?
Where I am?
If my father didn't tell me
To never say I can't

He'd carry me
And never let me fall
Oh and the only thing he asked
Right before he passed
Was to never say you can't

Everything he taught me would stay with me forever
No I won't forget a thing
Oh because of dad I now know myself better
And I hope I can do for him what he did for me

How would it be?
Where I am?
If my father didn't tell me
To never say I can't

He'd carry me
And never let me fall
Oh and the only thing he asked
Right before he passed
Was to never say you can't

Oh
Never say you can't
Oh
Never say you can't

Yeah, that is the lyric. At first I listen to it i felt a little sad because the tone of the song when i hear the lyric i felt so sad because this song tells about the love of a father to his son. The song features the inspirational words given by him during Bruno's childhood and how it taught him to be how he grew up to be over the years. So, from this song we have learned that we must love our father. Because dad will not stop loving their children even until he died.

Slogan That Inspire Me

This quotes is so inspire me because the quotes motivating me to be realistic for this life. Maybe for some people they just wait and find what really they are  but  in real life we must creating our self.

And this is some history from George Bernard Shaw
George Bernard Shaw was born in Dublin, Ireland on July 26th,1856. He was an Irish playwright, socialist, and a co-founder of the London School of Economics. Although his first profitable writing was music and literary criticism, in which capacity he wrote many highly articulate pieces of journalism, his main talent was for drama. Over the course of his life he wrote more than 60 plays. Nearly all his plays address prevailing social problems, but each also includes a vein of comedy that makes their stark themes more palatable. In these works Shaw examined education, marriage, religion, government, health care, and class privilege.

An ardent socialist, Shaw was angered by what he perceived to be the exploitation of the working class. He wrote many brochures and speeches for the Fabian Society. He became an accomplished orator in the furtherance of its causes, which included gaining equal rights for men and women, alleviating abuses of the working class, rescinding private ownership of productive land, and promoting healthy lifestyles. For a short time he was active in local politics, serving on the London County Council.

In 1898, Shaw married Charlotte Payne-Townshend, a fellow Fabian, whom he survived. They settled in Ayot St. Lawrence in a house now called Shaw's Corner.

He is the only person to have been awarded both a Nobel Prize for Literature (1925) and an Oscar (1938). The former for his contributions to literature and the latter for his work on the film "Pygmalion" (adaptation of his play of the same name). Shaw wanted to refuse his Nobel Prize outright, as he had no desire for public honours, but he accepted it at his wife's behest. She considered it a tribute to Ireland. He did reject the monetary award, requesting it be used to finance translation of Swedish books to English.

Shaw died at Shaw's Corner, aged 94, from chronic health problems exacerbated by injuries incurred by falling.
That all about slogan that inspire me and the author. Thank you

Ice Cream

Ice cream? Who doesn’t know  ice cream, almost of people in the world like ice cream. For me Ice cream is the best dessert in the world and thi is all about ice cream.
Description: https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTX_CqiMEZntuUlysNe96epzNETSQQwWpVfxzuTpU8hE8asQQllj4GHd6gtAxlSTZXXEaZXsa0uypfESmurzm8JYgPJy_0WvecQ8eQHjIemYktftGoo28Qdy7QefA-ELhLAitmBuqRNPU/s1600/images.jpgIce cream is a frozen food usually made from dairy products, such as milk and cream and often combined with fruits or other ingredients and flavours. Most varieties contain sugar, although some are made with other sweeteners. In some cases, artificial flavourings and colourings are used in addition to, or instead of, the natural ingredients. The mixture of chosen ingredients is stirred slowly while cooling, in order to incorporate air and to prevent large ice crystals from forming. The result is a smoothly textured semi-solid foam that is malleable and can be scooped.
Are you curious about history of ice cream? Whatever your answer i will still tell you about that. And here we go. The origins of ice cream can be traced back to at least the 4th century B.C. Early references include the Roman emperor Nero (A.D. 37-68) who ordered ice to be brought from the mountains and combined with fruit toppings, and King Tang (A.D. 618-97) of Shang, China who had a method of creating ice and milk concoctions. Ice cream was likely brought from China back to Europe. Over time, recipes for ices, sherbets, and milk ices evolved and served in the fashionable Italian and French royal courts.
After the dessert was imported to the United States, it was served by several famous Americans. George Washington and Thomas Jefferson served it to their guests. In 1700, Governor Bladen of Maryland was recorded as having served it to his guests. In 1774, a London caterer named Philip Lenzi announced in a New York newspaper that he would be offering for sale various confections, including ice cream. Dolly Madison served it in 1812.

There are Fun fact about ice cream may you not know:
·         The first ice cream come was made by Italo Marchiony in New York City.
·         The use of the cone was popularized at the 1904 St. Louis Fair.
·         It takes an average of 50 licks to finish one scoop of ice cream.
·         "Brain freeze" is triggered when ice cream touches the roof of your mouth, causing blood vessels in the head to dilate.

In 2007 it was listed in Guinness World Records as the most expensive sundae in the world at a price of US$1,000. The restaurant has stated that they sell approximately one per month. It was created to celebrate the eatery's 50th -"golden" - anniversary in 2005. Owner Stephen Bruce states that a notice 48 hours in advance is needed when requesting the Sundae, since ingredients must be flown in from different parts of the world
And this is how to make your own ice cream in your home without an ice cream maker:
1/2 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

1 tablespoon sugar
4 cups crushed ice
4 tablespoons salt
2 quart size Zip-loc bags
1 gallon size Zip-loc freezer bag
a hand towel or gloves to keep fingers from freezing as well!

Mix the milk, vanilla and sugar together in one of the quart size bags. Seal tightly, allowing as little air to remain in the bag as possible. Too much air left inside may force the bag open during shaking. Place this bag inside the other quart size bag, again leaving as little air inside as possible and sealing well. By double-bagging, the risk of salt and ice leaking into the ice cream is minimized. Put the two bags inside the gallon size bag and fill the bag with ice, then sprinkle salt on top. Again let all the air escape and seal the bag. Wrap the bag in the towel or put your gloves on, and shake and massage the bag, making sure the ice surrounds the cream mixture. Five to eight minutes is adequate time for the mixture to freeze into ice cream.

Now let’s  talk about my most wanted ice cream in the world.
1. Gelato Kinder Bueno, this ice cream make my mouth want to taste it.

Natural Phenomenon : Moonbow

Hello, in this time I want to tell you about natural phenomena moonbow. Moonbow is a natural phenomenon that is quite unique because usually rainbow appeared during the daytime while moonbow appears at night, which can be seen from the name "moon" moon usually appears at night. So this is the detail of moonbow.
A moonbow in the night sky over Takayama, Gunma Prefecture, on Oct.
A moonbow (also known as a lunar rainbow, black rainbow, white rainbow, lunar bow, or space rainbow) is a rainbow produced by light reflected off the surface of the moon (as opposed to direct sunlight) refracting off of moisture laden clouds in the atmosphere. Moonbows are relatively faint, due to the smaller amount of light reflected from the surface of the moon. They are always in the opposite part of the sky from the moon.
Because the light is usually too faint to excite the cone color receptors in human eyes, it is difficult for the human eye to discern colors in a moonbow. As a result, they often appear to be white. However, the colors in a moonbow do appear in long exposure photographs.
Photograph of a real moonbow spanning over castle of Wernigerode, Germany
By definition, true moonbows are associated with atmospheric rain events and arise at a time when conditions are optimal in terms of levels of reflected solar light being reflected from the Moon's surface. All true moonbows are therefore short-lived and transitory in nature. True moonbows are independent of all terrestrially fixed geographical features such as waterfalls etc for their existence.
Moonbows have been mentioned at least since Aristotle's Meteorology (circa 350 BC), and also in an 1847 publication.
Moonbows are most easily viewed when the moon is at or nearest to its brightest phase full moon. For true moonbows to have the greatest prospect of appearing, the moon must be low in the sky (less than 42 degrees and preferably lower) and the night sky must be very dark. Since the sky is not completely dark on a rising/setting full moon, this means they can only be observed 2 to 3 hours before sunrise, (a time with few observers), or 2 to 3 hours after sunset. And, of course, there must be rain falling opposite the moon. This combination of requirements makes moonbows much rarer than rainbows produced by the sun. Moonbows may also be visible when rain falls during full moonrise at extreme latitudes during the winter months, when the prevalence of the hours of darkness give more opportunity for the phenomenon to be observed. One good location for viewing 'true moonbows' is Waimea 'Kamuela', Hawaii Island, Hawaii. Cause this is just a rainbow of course is not dangerous.
